Re:wave is project of one last moments to take with us from the earth.
Like natural phenomenon that we approach to the wave and we running back from the wave,
If you try to touch the sand and water or grab the shellfish and pearl then wave will coming
Concept

Re:mind & Re:create the moment
that refreshing moment when sand, water and our bodies blend together.
The waves always come ashore and repeat themselves back to sea.
When the waves return to the sea, people find shellfish, starfish, pretty pebbles, etc. and try to picking up these, and play hide-and-seek to escape
the waves that come back.


About
Re:wave is a device that generates waves when a user's hand approaches sand and objects.
The user can play to pull out pearls from the shell-motivated object before wave touch their hand,
they also can immerse in the imagination at that moment feeling the haptic of scattered sand and swaying waves.

Input
Sandy beach, shell-motivated objects, and sea-like water are interfaces.Especially, shell and pearls became affordance, we planned to people can see part of pearl
which hide in shell-motivated object so they naturally touch them with curiosity.
When people wonder what is in the objects and reach a hand to the objects, sensors are sensing the hand.


Output
The senseors activate motors. When motors move, a plate connected with motors move and make wave and sound.

02 Wave form

To make the wave more like a real wave (shape and rhythm) using arms and plate with the servo motor

03 Slope & flow
- Hill shape
To prevent sand fall, first we tried to make this little hill shape slope.
However, when using this shape, we have to solve the water flow problem.

In flat slope, water flow problem didn’t occur.
However, to prevent sand fall easily because of wave, 3d printing and cover with sand with glue first, and little sand add on the slople which people hand will be reach.

05 Sensor working & CMF
- Sensor working
Acorrding to housing form, 2 sensors are needed and to make strong wave, 2 motors are needed.
Therefore, make cords that connect 2 sensors and 2 motors, together.

- CMF
To make housing(mdf) looks like product, paint gesso and trimed surface with sandpaper and spray gray paint.
Also, make objects which attract people- make people reach their hands to touch this.
